When sending your two images for the Cuppa and Capture Gallery they need to be cropped in the same way as for projected image competitions, that is:
- An image should fit into a rectangle in a ratio up to 1024 pixels wide x 768 pixels high.
- Your submissions should use the following filename format:
Image Title-Your First name & surname-image No.jpg
Great Landscape Picture-Fred Blogs-1.jpg
More Great Landscapes-Fred Blogs-2.jpg
Best Yet Landscapes-Jane Brown-1.jpg
It’s also a feature of the Cuppa and Capture philosophy that work is more widely shared than just the two permitted for the club web site. So it’s expected that participants will also share their favourite pictures directly via C&C members email.
If you wish to participate in this exchange, and don’t mind other members having your email address for such purposes, please sign up by sending your email address and your first submissions to me, bryan at bryanoxley.plus.com and I’ll distribute the addresses to all participants. Of course, you can share as many of your pictures as you like, but do remember to keep messages & attachments down to a reasonable size of no more than about 4MB per message.
Should you submit more than two pictures for exchange, your number 1 and number 2 images will be used in the club gallery.
Please be aware that sometimes, due to limitations of space, if there are a number of participants pictures that are very similar, say the same building from the same viewpoint, we shall only include one on the gallery (the first to have been submitted). In this case, for those whose first or second choice was not used, we shall choose another, your number three in most cases.
NB: Dependent on your level of expertise and the software you use. If you are unsure about the best way to re-size your pictures. The following is a link that will help you: Resizing Images
