Driffield Photographic Society was founded in 1950. Over the years we have had various ‘homes’ and for the past few years have resided at the Bell Hotel, Market Place, Driffield.
Our Winter Programme runs from September to May, with meetings held at the Bell Hotel.
During the Summer months, meetings are out and about using the time to get out and take photos, with an adjournment to a local hostelry afterwards.
There are approximately 40 current members. We have a full and varied programme throughout the year, which includes both internal and external competitions, talks from local photographers on various subjects, ranging from wildlife and landscape photography in the Outer Hebrides, the Shetland Isles and Cumbria to travels in Africa and South America.
The members also host club nights which include technical demonstrations and showing off our work. Our members use all types of camera, from compact to digital Single Lens Reflex (SLR). Not everyone enters competitions and just come along to enjoy an evening of photographic know-how.
We have a FaceBook page for chat, posting, questions and suggestions. It is a closed group but you are welcome to request joining.
Subscription fee for 2021/22 is £35.00 – for all members who paid in 2020/21 Season and didn’t receive a refund, your subscription fee will roll over into this year.
